Prize Draw Terms

  1. The promoter of this prize draw is Shotokan Nation Ltd of c/o Wallace LLP, 1 Portland Place, London, W1B 1PN (“we”, “us”, “our”).
  2. The prize draw is open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over, except founding members and directors of Shotokan Nation Ltd, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with the administration of the prize draw.
  3. The prize draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
  4. To enter the draw, each participant must submit their entry via the form on www.shotokannation.com and only one entry per person is permitted.
  5. The closing date of the prize draw is 22:00 hrs on Saturday 10th July 2021. Entries received after this time will not be considered.
  6. We accept no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
  7. A winner and 5 runners up will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process on Sunday 11th July.
  8. The winner will receive a year’s membership to Shotokan Nation Ltd and the English Karate Federation. The runners up will receive Shotokan Nation merchandise.
  9. We will notify the winner and runners up by email using details provided at entry before Monday 12th July. If a winner or runner up does not respond to us within 7 days of being notified, then the prize will be forfeited and we will be entitled to select another winner / runner up in accordance with the process described above.
  10. The prize will be provided to the winner / runner up within 10 days of them responding to being notified of their win.
  11. The prizes for the winner and runner ups are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
  12. We reserve the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control makes it necessary to do so.
  13. Our decision regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
  14. We must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation we will send the surname and county of major prize winners and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails info@shotokannation.com within one month after the closing date stated in condition 5. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please email us on info@shotokannation.com. In such circumstances, we must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
  15. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. We reserve the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  16. We reserve the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
  17. Insofar as is permitted by law, we, our founder members and directors and the English Karate Federation will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or any runners up or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by our negligence. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  18. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be processed as set out in the Promoter’s privacy policy. See also condition 14 with regard to the announcement of winners.
  19. The prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
