Clubs wishing to be part of Shotokan Connect will need to get connected with us. Club connection will give you access to:

• our online interactive club database, which will include the details, course attendance, license and grading records of your club members

• instructor insurance giving instructors cover to teach at any Shotokan Connect affiliated club

• our streamlined enhanced DBS process

• the Shotokan Connect grading examiner mentorship scheme, enabling 3rd dans and above to become grading examiners

• online first aid courses

• affiliation with the English Karate Federation, the only International Olympic Committee recognised National Governing Body in England, with access to national, European and world competitions

• use of the Shotokan Connect inclusivity and diversity, and safeguarding policies and support, in association with the English Karate Federation. You will also have access to safeguarding training delivered by Child Protection in Sport, a collaboration between the NSPCC and Sport England

• access to the Martial Arts Safeguarding Quality Mark

• access to Shotokan Connect’s merchandise supplier for all your Shotokan Connect and club specific merchandise

• the Shotokan Connect kata and kumite squads

• the Shotokan Connect grading syllabus, which includes two new beginner grades especially designed for young children
