One of the key aims of Shotokan Connect is to foster collaboration between associations and karateka. In Shotokan Connect we have no problem with karateka being members of more than one association. We therefore have two types of connection for individual karateka:

Individual Connection – this is for karateka that belong to and train at a Shotokan Connect club. Your connection will be linked to your club, and will give you access to training at the club and at Shotokan Connect courses, competitions, and gradings. Your connection will include insurance, and registration with the English Karate Federation.

Independent Connection – this is for karateka that do not usually train at a Shotokan Connect club, but wish to train with us when they can, either at one of our clubs or at a Shotokan Connect course. Your connection will include insurance for when you are training with us, and registration with the English Karate Federation. If you join us with an Independent Connection you will not be eligible to grade with Shotokan Connect or enter Shotokan Connect closed competitions.

The cost of connection for individuals, whatever your age or grade or type of connection, is £25 annually, or £15 six monthly.
