SC Wins More Medals - JKA Engand Open Championship

Well done to Lyla-May Reid, Hannah Parnell and Arthur Couch who represented Shotokan Connect at the JKA England Open Championships on Saturday 1st November 2025 at K2 Leisure Centre, Crawley. All competitors showed the very best in the skill, spirit and attitude Shotokan Connect is known for.

  • Hannah and Lyla-May both entered category 38 – Female Kata (16 – 18 Years) – Brown & Black Belts.
  • Hannah entered category 54 – Female Kumite (16 – 18 Years) – Brown & Black Belts.
  • Arthur entered category 46 – Male Kumite (13 – 15 Years) – Brown & Black Belts.

After some initial disappointment in the early rounds of the Kata category both Hannah and Arthur dug deep to bring some medals home in their Kumite categories.
